The unsung hero of craft beer, besides the beer itself, is the can art. There’s something about a bold, eye-catching label that seems to enhance the drinking experience (even if it’s purely psychological, though let's not tell the brewers that). For me, designing a beer label is always a drop-everything kind of moment.

Each beer came with its own unique visual identity, built out across a full suite of materials: promotional assets like posters and social media teasers, sales tools like email campaigns and training guides, and in-taproom visuals like ads and taphandle wraps. Every design had to speak not just to the flavor of the beer, but to the people encountering it — whether that’s a bartender, a distributor, or someone just looking for something new to try.

Sky Lantern - Yuzu Citrus Wheat Ale
Designed during the 2021 pandemic and the rise of anti-Asian hate, Sky Lantern was a deeply personal Lunar New Year beer label created in collaboration with my family and Land-Grant Brewing. The design draws from themes of hope, heritage, and unity, featuring contributions from each of my family members. Proceeds supported Columbus’s Asian American Community Services (AACS). This emotionally charged project became a symbol of cultural pride, resilience, and community healing during a time of widespread fear and division.



Easy Tiger - Yuzu Wheat Pale Ale
Created to honor the Year of the Tiger, Easy Tiger is a limited-edition Yuzu Wheat Pale Ale brewed in celebration of Lunar New Year. The design was intended to reflect the energy and symbolism of the tiger (strength, resilience, and renewal) while capturing the citrusy brightness of the beer itself. Released alongside a community celebration and happy hour, proceeds from this beer supported Columbus’s Asian American Community Services (AACS). This project combined cultural storytelling with bold, playful visuals, creating a design that felt festive, empowering, and deeply connected to the AAPI community.
