Hosted by Matchmakers Studio + Shop, Matchmakers Market is a thoughtfully curated market that brings together a diverse mix of vendors, with a big focus on connection and collaboration. Guided by the motto “Community over Competition,” each event offers a blend of handmade goods, vintage finds, and boutique-quality items—all from talented small businesses.

Having dreamed up this concept inspired by vintage carnivals, old-world circuses, and antique matchboxes, we wanted to create something that felt a little mischievous and theatrical, like a storybook that’s come to life. From there, the design naturally unfolded with playful typography and a touch of the uncanny. Think Something Wicked This Way Comes by Ray Bradbury.

We then took assets and elements from the design and turned them into tee shirts and key chains made by Seel Leather Goods.
